Career:

Steve grew up in Torpoint, Cornwall and joined the Royal Marines in September 1990. He served for 23 years and travelled all over the world seeing active service in Northern Ireland, Kosovo & the Gulf. In later years he specialised in Adventure Training and was an Instructor at the Armed Forces lead centre for adventurous activities where he developed all ranks from all three Services in teamwork, leadership, moral and physical courage in order to develop individual’s personal qualities to enhance their operational capability.

Always having a passion for organising expeditions he started to focus on using adventurous activities to aid injured Royal Marines during their rehabilitation in order to enhance their recovery. He was awarded an MBE by HM the Queen in 2010 for his work supporting injured Royal Marines.

He enjoys most outdoor activities, fitness and a challenge especially when it’s Alan presenting it!
