This course will take students through the User Experience Design (UXD) process. From strategy, wireframes to visual design. The framework will be the ‘5 Planes of UX’ – made popular by UX guru, Jesse James Garrett, author of the book ‘The Elements of User Experience’.

The 5s are:

Strategy

Scope

Structure

Skeleton

Surface

There will be demos and hands-on exercises. There is no need for any specialist software as most of the course can be worked on using paper and pen or simple tools such as Google Slides, Powerpoint or MS Word.

The emphasis on this course is the planning of the website. It will not purely focus on the visual design (UI) stage. It will not cover any website coding or development.
