Construction Management is one of two pathway options, available through Bournemouth and Poole College, for the Higher National Certificate in Construction and the Built Environment. Both pathways provide a solid grounding of skills and knowledge for the construction industry, including design selection criteria, specification of materials, construction terminology, sustainability, BIM, health & safety, other relevant legislation, procurement processes, and much more.
The Construction Management pathway has an increased focus on interpreting and developing construction information, collaborative working, quality control, and project programming. Review the “Course Content” tab below for specific module information.
Teaching sessions are delivered one day a week, either virtually, or in-person. These include formal lectures, tutorials and workshops. The course can be completed independently, through company sponsorship, or as part of an apprenticeship.
Please see the “What the course leads to” and “What do I need to apply” tabs below, to review eligibility and discover further course benefits.
