BPCSU Our UnionBournemouth & Poole College Students’ Union is run by students for students.

The Bournemouth and Poole College’s Students’ Union, BPCSU for short, has been representing students at The College for over 40 years. BCPSU has won a magnitude of awards and when you enrol at the college, you will have access to all of BPCSU’s activities and facilities.

BPCSU Our OpportunitiesBPCSU provide a vast range of opportunities for you to get involved throughout your time at college, including through events, activities, volunteering and student discounts! The Students’ Union aim to give you the chance to increase your skills and experience, as well as to be a part of a community.
 
Green Impact

BPCSU understands that Green Impact is important to our students and the environment, because of this they campaign for change in order for The College to reduce its carbon footprint. As part of the Green Impact campaigns, BPCSU run Social Responsibility Days three times throughout the year. The aim of the days is to provide students with volunteering opportunities and to participate in environmentally green focused activities.

Our Advice

BPCSU Our AdviceThe College provides a lot of support for students including welfare support, mental health support, learning support, pastoral support, employability support, finance support and careers advice and guidance. Within Student Experience there is a wealth of knowledge and experience, so that you can get the help you need and deserve when studying at The College.

Awards
NUS GoodBPCSU have been awarded a series of local and national awards, as well as being awarded an accreditation of VERY GOOD from the Quality Students’ Union mark. This has made BPCSU the very first FE college to achieve this accreditation and the union will continue to strive to Excellent status.

Union Cloud's Award committee were super impressed with how the union built their brand-new website so quickly, and with so much fantastic information to help students. As a result, BPCSU were awarded the UnionCloud Best FE Website Award 2020.

NUS logoNUS Awards

BPCSU have won awards at the National Union of Students National award ceremony in 2016, 2017 and 2018. BPCSU was also awarded the Green Impact Bronze Award from the NUS. This award is something that BPCSU is very proud of and the union are continuously working with The College, Students and Staff to make changes and impacts that benefit the green agenda.

BHStars Awards

BHS StarsThe Student Engagement Team (who are the staff behind BPCSU) were through to the final stages of the BHStars awards, which is a local company who give out awards within the Poole, Christchurch and Bournemouth area. BPCSU were nominated for two of these awards and were through to the final stage. This was supposed to be awarded in March 2020, however it was postponed until further notice.

The two awards that BPCSU were nominated for are The Education & Mentoring award and the Learning Experience of the Year award. BPCSU were nominated externally for these awards, which they are extremely proud of.
