Bournemouth & Poole College Students' Union team, along with some brave students, will be swapping their backpacks for parachutes as they skydive for charity of the year, Shelter on 26th May.

The team have already this year raised over £700 for the charity through events, art competitions, charity football tournaments, raffles and more, but are hoping to break all their records and raise over £2000 by doing the skydive.

Fontayne Fernay-Debrett, Students’ Union Events and Marketing Coordinator said: “'We are all really excited to take on this challenge and raise money for Shelter! It's going to be a scary, exhilarating but an immensely rewarding day!”

The Students’ Union have been working with Shelter for the past year and was chosen to be charity of the year because of the incredible work they do. Fontayne commented: “They are a great local and national charity which we believe support an ever growing issue of housing and homelessness. Anything we can do to help raise money is very worthwhile.”

If you would like to support the team they have a dedicated Just Giving page set up -   Registered Charity Number: 263710
