Staff at Bournemouth & Poole College are celebrating after the Digital Marketing course received an industry-standard commendation from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM).
The College, which has sites in North Road in Poole and Lansdowne in Bournemouth, learned of its seal of approval from the industry’s awarding body in July. It comes after the CIM marked the work of the College’s Digital Marketing apprentices in the spring, which saw the college achieve a 100-per-cent pass rate, and it now aims to champion the level of high results received.
Apprentices on the College’s Digital Marketer course gain experience within the advertising and marketing industry during the Apprenticeship placement with a Dorset-based digital marketing agency. During their course, students cover a range of modules including the principles of coding, digital and social media strategies, Google Analytics and marketing principles.
In a statement issued to Bournemouth & Poole College, the CIM said: “The Awarding Body at The Chartered Institute of Marketing has commended Bournemouth and Poole College for the excellent standard of results achieved for assessments submitted in the April 2019 assessments session for the Digital Marketing module of the Certificate in Professional Marketing.”
Bradley Lansdale, Lecturer in Marketing at Bournemouth & Poole College, said: “We are extremely proud to have received the commendation from the Chartered Institute of Marketing, which has been received as a testament to the hard work of our students.
“It provides the students with academic credibility which supports the practical experience they gain at their work placements. We are one of the very few further educations colleges in the UK offering this opportunity to apprentices, as most accredited study centres are universities.”
