Employment within the dynamic travel and tourism industry is vast and includes working for a travel agency, tour operator, tourist information centre, cruise line, airport or airlines, hotels, or in a wide variety of other Tourism fields.
What do I need to apply
To do this course you should have...
You will require a minimum of 5 GCSEs at grades 9-5 including English and maths grades 9-5 (formerly A*-C). Alternatively successful completion of a relevant Level 2 qualification and have achieved a Level 2 Functional Skill in English and maths.
What about work experience?
A minmum of 30 hours work experience is included in the study programme.

Course Content
This study programme is designed to develop your understanding of the tourism industry together with gaining practical skills and knowledge required to prepare you for a career in the tourism industry or for further study at the university. You will study 13 units in total, with 2 units being externally assessed.

This study programme provides a number of opportunities to experience the dynamic travel and tourism industry at first hand through educational visits, visiting speakers, and the practical experience of our team of lecturers, all of whom have had many years working in various aspects of the Tourism industry.
