You can progress onto employment as a fully Qualified Hairdressing Stylist or higher level study.
What jobs can I get?
This programme is for those wishing to go into employment in the Hairdressing industry as a Fully Qualified Stylist. Working in our public salons will give you valuable first-hand experience of the workplace in order to explore career opportunities and expand networks within your chosen industry.
What do I need to apply
To do this course you should have...
You will require successful completion of a relevant Level 2 qualification in hairdressing and a minimum of 5 GCSEs including English and Maths grades 9-4 (formerly A*-C). Alternatively and have achieved a Level 2 Functional Skill in English and maths.
What about work experience?
A minimum of 45-60 days work experience, which will be one day a week and a two week block placement.

If you are not from an English Language speaking country, you will need to have UKVI IELTS 5.5. We accept a wide range of academic qualifications awarded overseas and use the UK NARIC (National Academic Recognition Information Centre) guidelines for international comparisons. Course Content
The programme is delivered by way of practical workshops and demonstrations, theory sessions and guest lectures.
On this programme you will develop your artistic flair and creativity enabling you to work in the industry using your individual style and skills
As part of your timetable you will attend a commercial session weekly, in our Salons You will also be expected to do additional work experience based in a salon of your choice.
You will study following technical units:
• Consult and advise the client on hairdressing services
• Colour hair to create a variety of looks
• Cut hair to create a variety of looks
• Monitor and maintain Health & Safety in the salon
• Promote products & services to clients in the salon
• Style hair using a variety of techniques
• Working in Hairdressing
