This is a demanding study programme, designed for students with a genuine interest in gaining a career within the travel and tourism industry. The programme is well recognised by employers and also provides a route to Higher Education. This is a full time, two year study programme that incorporates the National Foundation Diploma (which is a one year option equivalent to 1.5 A Levels).
This qualification is equivalent to 3 'A'levels and is widely recognised by Industry and Universities,attracting UCAS points and taught within an award winning department.

Further your studies at the College with our Diploma in Air Cabin Crew & Ground Operations course. Alternatively progress your studies onto Higher Education within the Leisure,Travel and Tourism sector.
What jobs can I get?
Employment within the dynamic travel and tourism industry is vast and includes working for a travel agency, tour operator, tourist information centre, cruise line, airport or airlines, hotels, or in a wide variety of other Tourism fields.
To do this course you should have...
You will require a minimum of 5 GCSEs at grades 9-5 including English and maths grades 9-5 (formerly A*-C). Alternatively successful completion of a relevant Level 2 qualification and have achieved a Level 2 Functional Skill in English and maths.
What about work experience?
A minmum of 30 hours work experience is included in the study programme.

This study programme is designed to develop your understanding of the tourism industry together with gaining practical skills and knowledge required to prepare you for a career in the tourism industry or for further study at the university. You will study 13 units in total, with 2 units being externally assessed.
