A collaborative programme of musical enrichment
The Creative Music Hub provides sustainable music education opportunities for students, musicians and educators in the Dorset Area. It’s a joint venture between The College, SoundStorm and Dorset Music Service, meaning there is a wealth of experience in music and education coming together to rethink the traditional ‘music centre’.
A new way of working
We recognise the importance of musical education and the opportunity it has to transform student’s lives – it’s not just about the music. Students will get the opportunity to develop professional and life skills and knowledge.
The Creative Music Hub supports a diverse range of ensembles and genres through a huge range of term time workshops, rehearsals, expert coaching, performance and endless collaborative opportunities.
Specialist facilities
Being based at The College means that the Creative Music Hub will have access to specialist rehearsal and studio facilities. Members of the Creative Music Hub will have access to all of these!
Opportunities
With the launch of the Creative Music Hub in November 2021, there are big plans for a programme of opportunities in a wide range of genres. Whether you want to brush up on your classical orchestra or prefer jazz, rap or contemporary rock, there will be something for everyone.
