Dorset residents are invited to boost their career by completing a free online course provided by Bournemouth & Poole College. Courses are available in a range of subjects, including team leadership, mental health, dementia care and digital skills.
We are proud to have a 99.6% pass rate for more than 20 nationally-recognised adult learning online courses, which members of the public can sign up to at any time.
Our Level 2 and 3 Performing Arts students had the opportunity to perform on stage with award-winning comedian Jack Whitehall for the finale of his shows at the BIC.
The College were approached by Whitehall’s manager to perform in the finale of the comedian’s sell-out show in December and January. Due to the demand an extra day was added to the tour, which included a matinee and evening show, and our students were invited to perform in these shows too.
On Thursday 13th February, Bournemouth & Poole College formally signed up to the Association of College’s (AoC) Charter for Student Engagement.
The Charter, which outlines the College’s commitment to its students, was signed by Diane Grannell, Principal at the College, and Gabriel Lemos Finocchio Baraldi, President of the College’s Students’ Union. By signing the Charter, the College has committed to ten points, including:
Students from Bournemouth & Poole’s Hairdressing department entered the regional heat of Concept Hair Apprentice of the Year at Petroc College in Devon. We’re delighted that two of our students, Christina Keen and Danielle Bond, took the top spots and secured their places in the grand-final.
