Stage 1: Application Form
To apply for a role, please complete our online application form. You'll be asked to provide details on your qualifications, work history, and relevant skills and experience. A thorough application is essential, as it will be used to shortlist candidates.
Stage 2: Shortlisting
Applications are reviewed continuously, and job postings may close early if a suitable candidate is found. We recommend applying promptly.
If shortlisted, the People Services Team will contact you with interview details. If not selected, you’ll be notified. Please inform us if you need to reschedule your interview.
Stage 3: Interview
Interview details will be included in your invitation.
In-person interviews take place at the relevant College campus; virtual interviews may be conducted via Microsoft Teams. Practice sessions are available on request.
Panels usually consist of the hiring manager and a senior team member. You may also be asked to complete a role-related task, such as:
A micro-teach (for teaching roles)
A skills assessment (for support roles)
Presentations or group tasks (for management roles)
Interviews include scored questions and may cover any gaps in employment, in line with Safer Recruitment practices.
If you require adjustments, contact: peopleteam@bpc.ac.uk.
Stage 4: Feedback
Post-interview, you’ll be informed of the outcome. Successful candidates receive a verbal offer, followed by written confirmation. Feedback is available upon request.
Stage 5: Offer
If successful, we’ll agree on your start date and salary, and begin reference, Enhanced DBS, and health checks. Offers are conditional on satisfactory results.
You’ll receive a contract to sign and will need to provide ID and qualification documents.
Once checks are complete, we’ll confirm your start—welcome to the team!
