Foundation Students Raise Over £1,700 at Bournemouth & Poole College Christmas Fayre
Students from Bournemouth & Poole College’s Foundation Department have celebrated a festive success after hosting a Christmas Fayre that raised more than £1,700.
The event, held on campus, showcased the creativity and teamwork from the Foundation Department. Students planned, produced, and sold a wide range of handmade and festive items, including sweets and chocolate gift bags, Christmas card packs, knitted seasonal signs, and other holiday crafts.
Visitors, staff, and students turned out in excellent numbers to support the fayre, creating a warm and lively atmosphere throughout the day. Many attendees praised the quality of the student made products and the enthusiasm of them all behind the stalls.
Foundation staff expressed pride in the students’ hard work, noting that the event gave learners valuable experience in communication, customer service, money handling, and creative production.
The money raised will be used to support Routes to roots – A homelessness charity in Poole that provides essential services such as hot meals, showers, clothing, and access to mental health and addiction support.
