The Bournemouth & Poole College is joining forces with the National Apprenticeship Service to celebrate National Apprenticeship Week, which is currently in its 10th year.

National Apprenticeship week, which will run from Monday March 6 to Friday March 10, will be celebrated by The College to draw attention to apprenticeships and the positive impact they have on individuals, businesses and the local economy.

The Bournemouth & Poole College, the largest apprenticeship provider in Dorset, currently has more than 15 vacancies available for those looking to gain a career in hairdressing.

In 2015, The Bournemouth & Poole College’s own commercial salon, Flaunt, underwent a £50,000 refurbishment to update its facilities and enhance the apprenticeships on offer to students. Flaunt is open weekdays to the public and has a variety of beauty treatments, as well as hairdressing available to its clients for a fraction of the usual price.

The Bournemouth & Poole College is offering advice to those who are wanting to apply to a higher education course starting in September 2017.

The UCAS (Universities and Colleges Admissions Service) national deadline to register for courses starting this year was Sunday January 15. It is however, a common misconception that this is the final deadline when applying to a college or university.
