Around 100 people attended a presentation evening at Bournemouth & Poole College to celebrate the completion of the Applied Science student project, which saw them undertake the exhumation of graves in the grounds adjacent to the former United Reformed Church in Pokesdown.

The sixth Dorset Art Prize is now open for entries! Set up by the College and supported by the Dorset Community Foundation Trust, the Art Prize was established in 2014 to reward and celebrate excellence in art from across the county of Dorset.

Sixth Form students were given a unique talk when Holocaust survivor Henry Schachter shared the dramatic stories of his childhood, and how he survived the Second World War despite being born in Berlin to Jewish parents in 1939. Our A Level history students, who have been studying the twentieth century on their course, were also able to talk directly to Mr Schachter in a special question and answer session following the talk.
