An exciting large-scale short film project that has involved over 60 students on Bournemouth & Poole College’s fantastic UAL Level 3 Diploma in Creative Media Production and Technology course is coming to a close this week with the premiere of a fantastic short-film.
Bournemouth & Poole College are pleased to share that Spencer Metzger, a previous student of our catering and hospitality courses, was named The Great British Menu Champion of Champions 2022 on BBC2.
Spencer wowed the judges with TV themed dishes, including 'Be Careful What You Fish For', based on Sherlock Holmes, and main course 'First Impressions', based on Pride and Prejudice.
We know our course announcement earlier ruffled a few feathers – sadly our Seagull Studies course was just an April Fools prank!
We’re not joking about our wide-range of courses for adults starting this Spring though - our list of courses currently open for sign-ups can be found on our spring courses page.
Bournemouth & Poole College are proud to announce they won the AAC Apprenticeship Award for Catering & Hospitality Apprenticeship Provider of the Year for the second year running.
This prestigious award recognises the exceptional work of the Catering and Hospitality training team at The College, along with the surrounding support available to all apprentices at The College.
The BPCSU Volunteering week was a huge success with over 1000 students taking part over the week. Students were able to take part in First aid sessions from the British Red Cross where they were taught valuable lifesaving skills. This also enhanced their CV to be more attractive to volunteering organisations. Students were able to create a pledge, in which they agreed to volunteer over the next year.
