Michael du Lieu and Alex Welsh both studied for the BTEC in Theatre Production Arts, which covers all aspects of technical theatre and design. Students can specialise in theatre lighting, sound, stage management, set design, making props, and more. It’s an incredibly practical course, as they work on productions staged in the College’s professional 136-seat Jellicoe Theatre.

Around 50 Level 1 and Level 2 Sport and Fitness students were put through their paces at a tough, but enjoyable camping trip to Buddens Farm in Wareham.

The residential which was organised as part of the course, gave the students the opportunity to build relationships with their peers through team building exercises and activities such as bush craft, kayaking and pioneering.

The two week trip demonstrated the students’ great determination and resilience in tough and testing camping conditions.
