College Delivers Top-notch Training in Nationwide Building Society
Nationwide empowered staff with a bespoke training programme at Bournemouth and Poole College, working in partnership to bridge the skills gap. The Level 3 Award in Education was delivered at Nationwide’s offices in Bournemouth, by Helen Fairhall, who is part of the Quality Teaching and Learning team. She said: “This was an excellent course with excellent candidates who were very highly motivated.”
Students, including Michael, who is a Business Partner in the Security Culture, Engagement and Learning Team’, said: “I really enjoyed the course and look forward to putting it all into practice going forward.” The student feedback was very positive with course content meeting student expectations, balancing theory and practical application effectively. Teaching quality was rated excellent, with praise for the tutor's knowledge and engagement. Course materials were useful and accessible.
Students reported feeling extremely confident in applying their new skills, highlighting preparation, planning, and engaging learners as key takeaways. Overall, the course received an excellent rating (5 out of 5) from all respondents; with additional comments praising the tutor and the informative, welcoming environment.
This course marks a new first in bespoke training for Bournemouth and Poole College. Nationwide staff said that it marks a milestone in delivery to organisations where in-house training delivering tailored and differentiated learning for students and staff needs.
