Hair apprentices celebrate success

Bournemouth & Poole College are proud to share some fantastic achievements of their Level 2 Hair Professional Apprentices.

The current apprentices are all working with salons in the area surrounding Bournemouth & Poole, and have excelled in their studies, even throughout the pandemic. The College are pleased to share that every apprentice that completed their program have gone on to pass their challenging six-hour practical exam with City & Guilds. Astoundingly, half of these have earned a Distinction!

Barry Dawson, Apprenticeship Manager at The College, reflected on this achievement: “Having every one of your successful apprentices go on to pass the six-hour practical exam is fantastic. It’s testament not just to The College and the salons that employ these apprentices, but to the apprentices themselves. They have worked tirelessly throughout their program and I could not be more proud of their achievements. I can say, without a doubt, that they all have fantastic careers ahead of them.”

The apprentices have been training in The College’s ReNew salon, honing their skills on clients from the general public who enjoy treatments in the eco-friendly learning environment.

ReNew Salons Hair & Beauty Academy is now a salon accredited as a Partner in Excellence in the Good Salon Guide.

Reflecting on this, Barry said: “This accreditation is yet another huge recognition of the quality of training we offer to our apprentices. Members of the public who come to ReNew to enjoy a well-deserved treatment can do so knowing that the students and apprentices are trained to an unquestionable standard.”
