College Secures Renewed Partnership with Unreal Software by Epic Games
We are proud to announce that Bournemouth and Poole College has once again been awarded Unreal Academic Partner status, for 2026. This collaboration directly contributes to the Higher Education FdA/BA (Hons) 3D Animation and Visualisation, FdA/BA Esports Production, Broadcasting and Events and FdA/BA (Hons) Digital Animation Design and Production courses at the college.
This partnership with #Unreal (https://www.unrealengine.com/en-US) allows us to continue to deliver quality content and resources to our degree-level students, providing them with opportunities to develop industry-relevant creative and highly technical skills.
Being an Unreal Academic Partner connects academic learning with professional reality by offering specialised career pathways, educator development, and the credibility of a curriculum endorsed by Epic Games. For us, it is an investment that enhances student career prospects while ensuring our technology remains at the forefront of the 3D industry.
The Directorate for Creative, Digital, Tech and Service Industries worked to submit evidence of students' work using Unreal Engine software to secure the partnership. Director of Learning, Stuart Palmer, said, “This is a fantastic collaboration for the department. We are extremely proud, once again, to be awarded this status. It means our students can work with faith and confidence that they have the very best backing behind the production of their work. This is great for the college and for all of our students, in securing their future careers.”
