Specialised Chef Apprentice Showcased by Claridge’s on International Chefs Day
We’re incredibly proud to celebrate one of our talented Specialised Chefs apprentices, John, who has been featured by Claridge’s Hotel on their official Instagram for International Chefs Day.
Currently completing his apprenticeship in one of the most prestigious kitchens in the country, John is gaining invaluable experience at Claridge’s, a world-renowned hotel celebrated for its excellence and tradition in fine dining.
In their post, shared with almost 500,000 followers, Claridge’s showcased John’s journey as part of the Specialised Chef Apprenticeship, a prestigious three-year advanced programme arranged by the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts and managed by Bournemouth and Poole College. The course provides apprentices with exceptional hands-on training, sponsored by some of the UK’s finest hotels, including Claridge’s, The Ritz and The Dorchester.
In the video, John shared insights into his passion for cooking, revealing that his favourite dish to prepare is Dover Sole Meuniere, which he described as “so delicate” and a dish that “takes so much care and love”. He also passed on the best piece of advice he has received in his career thus far: “always taste and season as you go.”
