Pippa Allner in Student Services Invited to Join the Board of the Career Development Institute (CDI).

Pippa Allner is our Personal Development Manager (Careers Leader) here at Bournemouth and Poole College and is responsible for managing our Careers Service as well as coordinating our Personal Development Tutorials.

After a robust selection process, Pippa has been invited to sit on the Board of Directors as a Board Appointed Director for the Career Development Institute (CDI). 

The Career Development Institute is the UK's professional body for all aspects of careers work and has over 5,000 members. The CDI encourages new entrants into the world of career development and helps them get qualified to provide careers education, information, advice and guidance. They set standards for professional practice, including the CDI Code of Ethics, which are recognised by government, and provide resources and training for the members to continually develop. 

The Board manages the business of the CDI, agreeing the organisation's strategy and having responsibility for the overall governance of the CDI.

Pippa has worked as a registered Career Development Professional with young people in various settings for the past 20 years and is also a qualified Assessor for the Careers Guidance qualifications. Having previously served as a CDI South West Regional Rep and previously been nominated as CDI Careers Leader of the Year, she is well positioned to represent the Further Education sector in this forum and to support fellow Board members with the overall Governance of the CDI.
