The Bournemouth & Poole College is the first further education college to receive a ‘good’ grading for its Students’ Union following a Quality Assessment Review carried out by the National Union of Students (NUS).

The Bournemouth & Poole College has submitted a planning application for the next stages of the redevelopment of The College’s landmark Lansdowne campus.

This project will see an investment of more than £10million to ensure the buildings are suitable for future students, and has been designed to support the Dorset Skills Plan and Dorset Local Enterprise Partnership’s (Dorset LEP) strategic priorities. Work is expected to commence in 2018 subject to planning consent being approved by Bournemouth Borough Council.

13 June 2017 - Final year students of the BSc (Hons) and FdSc Degree courses for 3D CGI (Computer Generated Imagery) which covers modelling, animation and architectural visualisation showcased their work at the College’s 15th annual CGI Graduate Expo. 

Celebrating their achievements and competing for awards, the students stood by their presentations to be viewed by potential employers with the hope to enter either a one-year placement or a full-time post in the CGI industry.  And this year was a record breaking year!

Danny Bush, Level 3 BTEC Graphic Design Student is heading off to Berenkuil, Eindhoven in the Netherlands for the International Graffiti Festival on 17/18 June.   Having applied and been accepted to participate, Danny is excited to meet up with some of the ‘rock stars’ of the graffiti world.

Staff at The Bournemouth and Poole College are celebrating after the Careers Advice and Guidance Team were re-accredited with the Matrix Standard, which is a nationally-recognised scheme.

The College was visited for inspection by the Matrix Standard’s assessors, who spoke to the team about how they support students to pursue their work, learning and life goals, as well as school students to develop their career aspirations, and employers to develop beneficial partnerships.
