Staff Celebration at Awards Ceremony (Creative and Digital Industries)
Towards the end of the Summer Term, the Creative and Digital Industries had their staff awards celebration – with an ice-cream for all attending to boot, for an ice-cream van had been booked to mark the summer occasion.
Ten awards were given, which included firstly, the Teaching Excellence Award (winner Kay King), secondly, the Curriculum Innovative Award (winner Rob Forester), also the Career Guidance Award (winner Julian Jacobs), fourth: the Collaboration Award (winner Holly Burridge), and fifth the Creative and Digital Industries External Partnership Award (winner Kerrie Reeves),
Furthermore, the sixth award, Research and Scholarship Impact Award (winner Trevor McCready), seventh: Digital Integration and Technological Advancement Award (winner Katerina Urmet), eighth: Student Support and Well-being (winner Irina Trofimova), ninth: Outstanding Contributions to the College Community (winner Steve McKell) and finally tenth, External practice Award (winner Sylvianne Lambert-Hutchinson).
Proud staff received their awards for their efforts and stood to have photographs and a cup was presented to the Team of the Year. The ‘David Hobson Cup’ is awarded to the Creative and Digital Industries team of the year. This award is dedicated to the work of David Hobson our Higher Education lead for CGI and 3D animation. David epitomises excellence, determination and ambition. The team that won the 2024 award was the Digital team.
Stuart Palmer, Director of Creative and Digital said: “The Creative and Digital Industries at Bournemouth and Poole College have an exceptional staff team, all experts in their specialisms and active professionals throughout the creative economy. We love to recognise our successes and the contributions that we make as a dynamic and ambitious team. Each year we come together, spend time together and celebrate together at our end-of-year staff awards.”
