The Bournemouth & Poole College is wishing to educate adults about the benefits of returning to education to gain further qualifications at its open event on Wednesday September 27 from 4pm.

It has been proven that learning new skills creates new career opportunities that might not have been available before. Learning empowers adults and helps them achieve their aspirations and career goals. Returning to education also demonstrates to employers that you are willing to work and can easily adapt to new environments.

16 excited  Level 3 Extended Diploma Sport students were lucky enough to complete a 3 day surfing instruction course in the beautiful seaside town of Perranporth. Their experience was made even better by the amazing conditions that proved to be perfect for surfing!

Staff at The Bournemouth & Poole College are celebrating after receiving positive feedback following a higher education review.

The QAA conducts quality assessment reviews once every five years at all higher education providers across the UK.  The QAA carry out inspections to ensure providers meet the regulatory academic standards and measure the students learning outcomes and the overall academic experience.

The College’s Greenpower team took their “Knife n Fork It!” car to their first real championship heat at Goodwood on Sunday 25th June.  Out of 26 competitors, they placed 15th overall, 3rd in the kitcar class and were placed 2nd of the newcomers competing.   

The race team was made up of Natasha Hockey (Driver), William Taylor and Ryan Conradie, all Cobham apprentices.  Supporting the team at the event was Gerry Bishop of Cobham and Wayne Weedon, Engineering Lecturer at The College.
