Course Overview

The qualification is designed to be hands-on and applied, allowing learners to develop practical skills such as planning and producing marketing materials, analysing target markets, and evaluating the effectiveness of campaigns. It also supports the development of essential employability skills including communication, teamwork, creativity, problem-solving, and digital literacy.

By the end of the course, learners will have a clear understanding of how marketing works in real business contexts and will be equipped with the skills needed to progress to a Level 3 qualification in Sales and Marketing or Business, or to begin an apprenticeship or entry-level role within the industry.

Pearson BTEC Level 2 Technical Certificate in Marketing, GCSE Maths and English, Work Experience and Preparation, Pastoral Support and Personal Development.

This course is designed for 16-19-year-olds with a strong desire to work within the dynamic world of Business

You will require a minimum of 4 GCSEs, including English and Maths, at Grade 3 or above.

Alternatively, successful completion of a relevant Level 1 qualification and have achieved Level 1 Functional Skills in English and Maths

The course comprises four mandatory units:

  • Marketing in Business
  • Research the Marketing of a Product or Service
  • Create Digital Marketing Communications
  • Plan and Present a Marketing Campaign 

You will also study GCSE English or Maths subject to grades.

35 hours of work experience to be completed 

T Level business, Level 3 Diploma in Sales and Marketing, Level 3 Travel & Tourism or an Apprenticeship in Business.
