Located at the Poole campus, following investment from the Department of Education, the Advanced Engineering Centre  is transforming the delivery of Level 3 Engineering and Manufacturing qualifications at Bournemouth and Poole College.

Created to reflect the modern workplace, the centre provides state-of-the-art Engineering and Mechatronics facilities and teaching spaces, complete with industry-standard, programmable equipment that gives students the opportunity to develop practical skills, technical confidence and hands-on experience. With industry-level equipment, the Advanced Engineering Centre boasts:

• 2 x Engineering Workshops with programmable equipment - the electronics lab and a prototyping room

• A new Engineering Maintenance Workshop.

• 2 x General Classrooms.

• Mini conference room and student breakout spaces with flexible use of IT.

The new facility represents a shift towards modern, agile Engineering education – moving away from traditional heavy machinery to focus on rapid prototyping and innovative design techniques.
