Carpentry Level 2 Students help out Upton-in-Bloom in Live Project.
Our Level 2 Carpentry students have completed an amazing year with a live project in collaboration with Upton-in-Bloom. This nature-based organisation is a group of friendly and enthusiastic volunteers that works with local community groups,
Upton Town Council and associated organisations including Upton-in-Bloom seek to enhance the natural environment in the town. The students planned, prepared, and installed two wooden potting benches for the group. These benches will be used by people within the community and will be of great help in preparing stock for their plant sales.
Moreover, the students enjoyed leading the project on-site and showed excellent teamwork. According to Instructor Stu Bennett, he was: “Incredibly proud of the group and was impressed by their troubleshooting and ingenuity.”
