Magnificient seven check-in for careers with Swissport

The 2015 Aviation students
Swissport, the leading support service company for the airline industry, has recruited the entire crop of 2015 graduates from the Bournemouth & Poole College's Aviation Operation (AO) course.

The company recently announced its plans to expand its ground operations at Bournemouth International Airport and drew on its strong links with the college to recruit new staff.

The seven female students will now join the company caring for passengers at the check-in stage.

Course leader Judith Grandjean said: “The fact that all seven young women are walking into jobs with Swissport is a wonderful testament for the course and a tribute to the relationship we have nurtured with Swissport.

“The girls are more than ready to meet the complex every day challenges helping to support ground operations such as the check-in and other activities.”

One of the recruits included Emily Ross from Wimborne.

She said: "We have really enjoyed all aspects of this course especially how we all managed to get a job at the end.

"Wearing a uniform makes the group and course feel more realistic. It prepared us for what lies ahead. One of the best things that we have done is taking part in work experience at Bournemouth Airport where we got to see behind the scenes of what our job role will entail.”
