What our Foundation Studies students think
"I successfully completed both the PVP and the In2Work course at The College. I have learnt so much about myself and what is available for me if I work hard; the course has given me more confidence in my own ability and what I can achieve. I had lots of fun on the PVP course, made some great new friends and tried lots of new things such as metal work and catering. Once I completed the In2Work course, I have managed to get a job out of the placement I was given."
Daryl Eustace: PVP student
"I have loved the course and doing the work placement in the kitchens. I have learnt new skills from other people that I can use in the future."
Anthony Bull: SLDD student
"Since my son Anthony started the PVP course and finished on the In2Work course, he has become more confident and independent. So much so he became a Student Ambassador for The College. His work placement helped him to decide what he wanted to do with his life and he is about to start a full time course in hospitality and food. With the support of the college staff guiding him and helping him, we think he is going to have a great start in adult life."
Parent of previous student
"What the programme offers the students is great, they get such a lot from the experience in a real life working environment."
"The relationship between us, the student and the college has been excellent. We are really happy to help out local students improve their working skills for future life."
