Foundation Learning
Prepare for further study or work with our Foundation Learning courses
Our courses are designed for students who may not have decided on a specific career path or may need more opportunities to develop their skills and behaviours for study and work. We offer a supportive, friendly learning environment and students will receive the support they need to progress. We welcome all students with moderate learning difficulties, specific learning difficulties, and/or social, emotional and mental health difficulties. Our programmes are suitable for students who may have attended a school or college provision for students with additional learning needs, or attended a mainstream school with an Education, Health and Care Plan.
For those young people with disabilities and additional needs who hold an Education, Health and Care Plan, and who want to move into employment, our Supported Internship is designed to facilitate this with high levels of supported and integrated work placements that make up around 70% of the programme.
