Freya Gabie, an accomplished artist who has had countless awards, exhibitions and prizes, is currently working on an artist-in-residence project between Poole and Stoke. This project, commissioned by Historic England, is a large participatory project called ‘All Fired Up!’ and focusses on the deep connection to the historic ceramic industries of both places.

Learning at Bournemouth & Poole College isn’t just about gaining recognised qualifications. We have lots of students who enrol yearly on hobby courses. These courses are offered in a variety of subject areas and give learners the opportunity to develop new skills in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere.

Although you don’t get a formal qualification on completion of one of our hobby courses, there are lots of other benefits for taking part. Whether it’s new skills, new friends or simply a great experience, there’s plenty to gain from taking part.

The Turing Scheme is organised by the government to provide international opportunities for education and training across the world. Bournemouth & Poole College are pleased to take part in the Turing Scheme and have a number of exciting opportunities for students.

The exciting international visits will offer opportunities for students to visit Dublin, Valencia or Seville in the first year. These visits will offer opportunities for students to visit galleries, museums, workshops and shows.
