
Course Overview
This 4-week Job Ready Programme is designed to enhance various skills valuable for any work setting, alongside basic carpentry, and is suited to people wishing to work within the boat-building sector. You do not need to have previous experience in carpentry to join this course
Not only will you gain the required skills to prepare you for employment, such as communication and teamwork, but also enhance your communication skills. You will receive support in CV writing and completing application forms. You will spend one day a week learning practical carpentry skills, which are transferable in alternative semi-skilled jobs. If you do not have a current GCSE grade 4 or C Grade in English and Math, we can support you to improve your skills, alongside the course.

Throughout the course you will study to achieve accredited qualifications in employability, which are assessed through workbooks and observations.
