The Dorset Art Prize - is now open for entries!

The Dorset Art Prize 2024

Starting the second decade of the Dorset Art Prize, we are pleased to share that this year Bournemouth and Poole College are partnering with The Lighthouse Poole for the 11th Dorset Art Prize. 

Founded by the college in partnership with the Dorset Community Foundation Trust, the prize is open to amateur and professional artists to share their creativity and celebrate the breadth of artistic talent from across the county. 

This year’s theme is ‘Journey’, with participants encouraged to use any visual medium including photography, digital art, fine art, animation, film and sculpture.

Entry to the Dorset Art Prize is free, with prizes up for grabs ranging from £100 to £1,000.  Category age groups are split between ages 16 to 18, and over 18s. 

The prize is open to both staff and students at BPC.

Entries for the 2024 Dorset Art Prize close at midnight on Sunday 17th of November. 

Bournemouth & Poole College are delighted to welcome entries for the Dorset Art Prize in the following categories:

This category is open to all submissions from young artists aged between the ages of 16 and 18 on the date of submission.

The Dorset Art Prize is only open to submissions from people who live in Dorset.

All entries are online and should be submitted on the Dorset Art Prize portal on the Bournemouth and Poole College website. More than one photograph may be submitted to support the entry of 3D submissions. 

1st Prize £1,000    2nd Prize £500   3rd Prize £250

Open to all adults 18 and over - accepting all forms of visual arts.

Photography, Animation, Digital Fine Art, Graphic Art, Illustration and any other visual art specialism.

The Dorset Art Prize is only open to submissions from people who live in Dorset.
