Skills Bootcamps are free, flexible training programs lasting up to 16 weeks, designed for adults aged 19 and over. They focus on developing in-demand skills that employers across various industries need.
These intensive courses are open to a wide range of individuals, including those who are employed (full-time or part-time), unemployed, self-employed, returning to work, or even prisoners on temporary release or due for release within six months.

Employer-Led Skills Bootcamps
Who Are They For?
Our Employer-Led Skills Bootcamps are designed for businesses of all sizes in Somerset and Dorset—whether small, medium, or large—seeking to upskill their existing workforce or recruit new employees with in-demand skills.
What Are the Costs?
For businesses with fewer than 250 employees – You’ll contribute just 10% of the total cost, with the government covering the remaining 90%.
For larger businesses – Your contribution is 30%, while the government funds 70% of the program.
These tailored training programmes equip employees with practical skills that align with industry demands, helping businesses stay competitive while fostering career growth opportunities.
