Career:

Heidi grew up in Norfolk and started her career working with special educational needs children teaching sport before joining the prison service in 2002. Within her first year in the prison service she strated training to be a Physical Education Officer.

Sports are her passion and she went on to pass the pre-assessment programme at the National College Sport England Lilleshall. Here she trained and qualified in all sports as an instructor for six months and at the time, there were only eight females in this position in the country.

Heidi's career went from strength to strength and she was soon promoted to senior officer rank. She was relocated to Dorset as part of her promotion and was the only female Pysical Education Instructor in the region.

Heidi continued teaching and coaching all sports and registered her department with the CYQ awarding body to deliver gym instructor courses and exams for prisoners and was the manager.

She enjoys outdoor activities, all sports and triathlons especially if there's competition from Steve.
