Foundation Learning

Not sure what your next step is?

If you're still looking to find the right direction while developing your skills for life and at work, we can help.

You will be part of a small group so you’ll get a lot of support in your studies. During your course you will do a mixture of practical and classroom work and will also work towards getting qualifications in English and maths.

You’ll make goods to sell in the Foundation Studies shop and props for the drama group. Outside the classroom, you could volunteer with wildlife charities or complete the Duke of Edinburgh Award. Taking part in volunteering activities provides a great opportunity for you to develop your confidence and learn new skills.

Where appropriate you can gain valuable workplace experience at well-known companies such as Argos or Waitrose, or at Café 34 in Poole one day a week – great practice for your future.
