59 Accommodation – A home away from home The College offers accommodation to students through homestay, which is ideal for students who are new to the UK. We recommend going into homestay with a family when you first arrive to help develop your English listening skills and speech, but also to help you settle in. thecollege.co.uk/accommodation Equality, Diversity and Inclusion We aim to provide a learning environment where people are treated with respect. This means welcoming and valuing the richness of diversity by treating people as individuals. All members of the college community are encouraged to support our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Policy. thecollege.co.uk/EDI Safeguarding We are committed to embedding Safeguarding across the whole college. We recognise that all students, particularly children, young people and adults at risk, have a fundamental right to be protected from harm, exploitation and discrimination, and that students cannot learn effectively unless they feel safe. British Values We actively promote the British Values of democracy; individual liberty; the rule of law; mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and belief, as outlined in the Government’s Prevent strategy. We recognise how British Values have a place in our own expectations, vision and values, and see that they underpin what it is to be a citizen in a modern and diverse Great Britain. thecollege.co.uk/safeguarding More things you need to know Important information
