This assessment has been designed for people looking to renew or update BPEC certificate or for those currently working within the mechanical services and plumbing industry who wish to achieve BPEC accreditation.
What courses can I do after this?
On successful completion of this course you can progress onto Water Regulations or Energy Efficiency.
To do this course you should have...
No formal entry requirements but you should be competent in hot & cold water system installations.
Competency to enter this course will be considered based on you either having completed a relevant NVQ qualification such as plumbing, heating & ventilation or gas, or having been working in the industry for approximately two years in these areas with relevant technical certificates.

- Check the performance of the incoming water supply
- Inspecting the installation for compliance
- Commissioning the installation in accordance with manufacturers instructions
- Identifying defects
- Operating all safety controls
- Recording results
Service Appliance
- Inspecting the installation for compliance
- Checking the flow rate and pressure
- Servicing the installation in accordance with manufacturers instruction
- Recording results
