Most of your training will be directly linked to the career you have chosen, gaining practical experience in the workplace, backed up by attendance at college just one day a week.
An Advanced Apprenticeship in Beauty Therapy will develop your employability skills and give you valuable experience of a variety of commercial activities. You will be working in a salon environment where your duties could encompass many areas of the beauty industry such as communicating with colleagues and clients, dealing with customer enquiries, carrying out numerous practical beauty tasks related to Level 2 treatments. Your exact duties will depend upon your employer.

On successful completion of this Apprenticeship you could progress on to specialist qualifications in beauty and complementary therapies e.g aromatherapy.
To do this course you should have...
NVQ Level 2 Beauty therapy and you will need to demonstrate an interest in Beauty and have good literacy and numeracy skills. All applicants for Apprenticeship training will be required to attend an interview. You should be medically able to take up employment in this vocational area.

- NVQ Level 3 in Beauty
Functional Skills in:
- Maths Level 2
- English Level 2
The NVQ qualification is work-related and will relate specifically to your job role.
