In brief...
If you want to feel more confident with maths in everyday life, our Functional Skills maths course is ideal. You can achieve up to Level 2 on this course.
Who is it for?
The course is for anyone who wants to brush up their maths skills and who wants to achieve a widely-recognised Functional Skills qualification.
What courses can I do after this?
Students are able to work up to Level 2 (which is generally seen as the equivalent to a pass at GCSE). Students are then able to progress to other College courses and beyond, once they have reached this level.

You will need to be aged 19 at the start of the course. All prospective students need to take an assessment before commencing this course.

Costs
There is a selection of lesson times available - in the morning, afternoon and evening,across both sites. Enrolment is generally in September or February and we also offer one-week summer intensives courses (for Level 2 candidates only).
Course Content
What will you learn?
This course is based on 'everyday' maths. It will help you at work, at home and with further studies. Amongst other things, you will learn about numbers, measures, statistics, fractions, decimals, percentages, shapes, graphs and problem solving.
You will work towards achieving a national qualification in Functional Skills Maths up to level 2 (Level 2 is generally seen as the equivalent of a GCSE pass).
