Around 200 Design and Creative Arts students at The Bournemouth & Poole College have been granted honorary citizenship of Nepal as a token of thanks for creating an art exhibition to mark 200 years of friendship between Britain and Nepal.

There was lavish praise for the works created by the students over a period of months and the acting ambassador to Nepal made the journey down to Poole to admire their wonderful creations.

National Apprenticeship Week 2015 for The Bournemouth & Poole College was the most successful since the launch of this annual celebration of skills and employability training.

More than 250 students and staff took part in a series of talks, demonstrations and workshops across all key college sites.

For Sunseeker International it was the perfect platform to launch its latest recruitment drive to train a new generation of marine engineers and master boat builders.

The Bournemouth & Poole College sets agenda for new way forward in training and careers as Care Act is rolled out.

More than 50 Employers from the growing care sector in south Dorset, many of them managers and care experts, attended a Health and Social Care seminar at The Bournemouth & Poole College’s STEM centre.

Hottest topic on the agenda was a forensic assessment of the Government’s new Care Certificate, and the implementation of the new Care Act which came into law last year.

To mark National Apprenticeship Week 2015, Sunseeker International is pleased to announce that it will create 28 new apprenticeship vacancies during the coming year, its largest intake in four years. These will cover a broad range of specialist skills including marine engineers, electricians and carpenters, all based at its manufacturing centre in Poole, Dorset.
