An enthusiastic group of Bournemouth & Poole College students, studying Level 3 Diploma IT (PROCOM) have been helping an older generation learn about the internet and computer technologies.

Alongside their normal studies the group has been acting as mentors to elderly people who want to experience the internet and social media over at Sunrise Senior Living in Southbourne.

Networking is a useful talent in any company and students at The Bournemouth & Poole College have proved it is one skill they have in abundance.

Some 20 students from the college’s Enterprise Academy helped to organise a lively networking event at the Lansdowne site.

Tourism and Events students at The Bournemouth & Poole College have been using their newly acquired organisational skills to help raise funds to fight cancer.

Backed by Barclays Bank and The Bournemouth Chamber of Commerce, the students organised a lively fund raising lunch and raffle. They invited executives from the bank to enjoy a special lunch at The Escoffier restaurant, the college’s popular commercially run eatery at the Lansdowne site, Bournemouth.

Judges of a national competition identified leadership qualities of top Bournemouth & Poole College apprentice

Bournemouth & Poole College apprentice Ashley Craig has been crowned Apprentice of the Year in the prestigious annual Construction News magazine awards ceremony. The judges were lavish in their praise for Ashley’s dynamism and positive attitude.
