Britain’s Biggest Boat Builder has announced the recruitment of 40 new Apprentices. These new hires will include 9 for the team in Portland and a further 31 to join the team in Poole and will maintain the total number of apprentices employed at Sunseeker at over 100, which is more than 5% of the total boat building workforce.

The Bournemouth & Poole College, the largest apprenticeship provider in Dorset, currently has more than 15 vacancies available for those looking to gain a career in hairdressing.
In 2015, The Bournemouth & Poole College’s own commercial salon, Flaunt, underwent a £50,000 refurbishment to update its facilities and enhance the apprenticeships on offer to students. Flaunt is open weekdays to the public and has a variety of beauty treatments, as well as hairdressing available to its clients for a fraction of the usual price.

The Vitality Stadium at AFC Bournemouth was the setting for last week’s NHS Apprenticeship Presentation. The event celebrated the students who had successfully completed their Apprenticeships in Clinical Health, Allied Health Professions, Perioperative Support and Maternity and Paediatrics.

The Bournemouth & Poole College has launched a new worldwide distributor training partnership with Sunseeker International, drawing global attention to Poole. From December 2016 onwards, the College will host an annual four day technical training course which is open to all Sunseeker International distributor service technicians.
