Performing Arts graduates from Bournemouth & Poole College will be taking to the London stage next month. The ensemble, known as Ardent8, will perform the world premiere of Sacrifice at the Soho Theatre, Upstairs from 31st July until 4th August.

A former Bournemouth & Poole College student has travelled to more than 20 destinations since achieving her dream job as Virgin Atlantic cabin crew.

Rebekah Coppard, 25, studied the Diploma in Air Cabin Crew at the College, which provides people with the relevant skills and qualifications to pursue a career within the airline industry and other hospitality industries such as cruise lines and luxury trains.

19 year old Cameron Whittingham is studying a BTEC in Business. Recently he joined the Patchwork Foundation. The voluntary organisation that helps engage under-represented, deprived and minority communities in Britain through exposure and engagement in politics.

“I have always had an interest in politics,” said Cameron. “I feel very privileged and lucky.”

Cameron says that being involved with the Patchwork Foundation has increased his confidence, given him more skills and helped him talk to people.

Bournemouth & Poole College has been awarded third place in the national Whatuni Student Choice Awards (WUSCA) for the Further Education College category

The WUSCAs take place every year to get an overview of student satisfaction in higher education across the UK. For the first time this year, three new categories were added to the awards line-up including the Further Education College award.
