Apprentice students had an excellent time at the ‘Marine Electrical Apprentice' Competition at the Seawork Marine Show in Southampton last week.

12 teams of apprentices participated in the competition held at Seawork’s Training and Careers Day. Seawork is Europe’s largest on-water commercial marine and workboat exhibition.

Alessandra is currently an Access to Humanities and Social Science student studying at our Lansdowne Campus.

On Wednesday 7th June, the directorate of Construction invited in staff, employers, sponsors and parents to celebrate the achievements and improvements of our Construction students over this academic year. The Construction Skills Awards Event was a fantastic ceremony to showcase the high calibre of our bricklaying, plumbing, plastering, electrical and wood occupation students and apprentices.  
Everyone enjoyed a beautiful sunny afternoon and delicious BBQ based at our North Road Campus ‘Quad.’

Bournemouth and Poole College will open a new higher education facility this September at its North Road campus, following a £1.2-million government investment.

The new Degree Centre will offer a state-of-the-art learning environment for students to study degree level qualifications and will provide flexible learning spaces for small group teaching, digital suites with access to high specification IT equipment, virtual reality suites and industry-standard nursing training facilities.  There will also be social and study spaces to allow students to meet and collaborate.
