Bournemouth & Poole College have announced its plans to support home educated students who were unable to receive exam grades this year. 

With exams being cancelled due to COVID-19, many home educated students found themselves in a difficult situation as they were unable to receive centre assessed grades. Bournemouth & Poole College have introduced new plans to support these students and ensure that they can continue to progress.

GCSE results are in, and Bournemouth & Poole College are celebrating another year of brilliant results. 

The College’s GCSE students received outstanding pass rates, with 99.53% in English and 100% in Maths. From these results, 44% in English and 40 % in Maths received high grades (9-4). This is an incredible achievement for our students, once again surpassing the national average!

Results of the 2019/20 National Student Survey are in, and Bournemouth & Poole College exceeded the national average! With an overall satisfaction of over 84%, we’re delighted that our students are getting the most out of their time at the College. 

The National Student Survey gives students the opportunity to provide honest feedback about university/college. The survey gathers information about their time in Higher Education, from what the teaching and learning support has been like to the community aspects of their studies.

Bournemouth & Poole College is delighted to announce that its been ranked number one for its English and Maths provision. 

Out of 162 colleges across the country, Bournemouth & Poole College came out on top in the National Achievement Rate Table for its GCSE English and Maths- scoring 14% above the national average! Produced annually, the latest figures cover education and training for 16-18-year olds in the academic year of 2018-19.

Students who are looking at their further education options post GCSE results day, have the opportunity to explore our virtual ‘Come to College’ event.

Running from Thursday 20th August until Friday 4th September, students will have access to a variety of online resources including recordings on the different subject areas available at the College, 360-degree tours of the facilities and exclusive videos from the Student Union and Student Support Teams, giving an insight on life at the College.
