Students cut and style their way to the finals of Concept Hair Learner of the Year!

We are delighted to announce that five of our hairdressing students are UK finalists in Concept Hair Learner of the Year 2021.

With eight categories to enter, we’re extremely proud that our students are representing the College in three of these. We have three Level 3 students in the Avant Guard category, Salimata Knight, Sylivia Nansubuga and Natasha Ivory. Fatoumatta Kinteh, a Level 2 Hairdressing student, is competing in the Styling category and Kyron Dellow, a Level 3 Barbering student, is a finalist in the Barbering category.

Tracy Butler, Learning Manager for Hair and Beauty at Bournemouth & Poole College said: “Everyone in the Hair team at the College is extremely proud of our students for making it to the UK final of Concept Hair Learner of the Year 2021. This competition has been a brilliant experience for all of our students and has allowed them to showcase the skills they’ve learnt. Everyone at the College wishes Salimata, Sylivia, Natasha, Fatoumatta and Kyron the best of luck for the finals in March!”

Concept Hair is a new UK trade magazine, in its second year of publishing, for the hairdressing and barbering trade. The Concept Hair Learner of the Year 2021 competition gives the next generation of hairdressers and barbers the chance to be recognised for their hard work and skills.
