Bournemouth and Poole College Student’s Union (BPCSU) held its Annual Student Conference in the Jellicoe Theatre at the Poole campus, on Wednesday, 6th March. This year’s focus was on resilience, student participation, engagement in the community and being ‘heard’ as part of the student voice.
Bournemouth and Poole College have welcomed Boscombe-based theatre company, Vita Nova, to its Poole campus for the debut performance of ‘The Wasp’s Nest’.
The production received funding from Public Health Dorset and additional funding from the Police and Crime Commissioner for Dorset, SNG and the George Temperance Trust. The show follows a character, Joe, who looks back at his life and highlights each key moment which lead to him falling into a life of criminal activity and eventually imprisonment.

Sunseeker commemorates the 1 year anniversary of the Sunseeker Skills Academy, marking a year of outstanding achievement in fostering boatbuilding talent and excellence.
The Open Day event was held across the college’s three campuses at Poole, Bournemouth and the Fulcrum Centre at Tower Park, giving prospective students the opportunity to see campus facilities and discuss the wide range of course options available to them.
Resulting applications were up by almost three times on the previous open day in October 2023, attributed to the fact that people are now beginning to ‘firm-up’ their decision on their studies for the next academic year. Forty offers were made directly on the day.
