Josh Ross, a fourth year Marine Apprentice at Bournemouth & Poole College, has won the British Marine Electrical & Electronics Association’s (BMEEA) award for Electronic Technician of the Year.
Richard Broden-Cowell, Lecturer in Marine Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the College said: “I'm so pleased that Josh succeeded in achieving this prestigious BMEEA award, it's good news for everyone involved in his Apprenticeship. Whenever a student pushes themselves in their chosen career, we at the College are there to help them do all they can to achieve. Well done Josh.
Josh is currently an apprentice with Berthon, a family-run business in Lymington who provide clients with a comprehensive maritime service. The team at Berthon describe Josh as a model apprentice and a valuable asset to the Electrical team.
Josh Ross said “I’m extremely pleased to have won this award, it’s a great example of hard work paying off. I am almost fully qualified now and this award helps recognise 4 years of dedicated learning; but is also a testament to my tutors and mentors, who have gone above and beyond to help me achieve my potential”.
