Josh Baum, age 24
"After leaving university I was unsure of my next step. There seemed to be so many options open to me, but I really wanted to pursue a career I was passionate about. Digital marketing really appealed to me, so I decided to take a job with web audit and consultancy firm Insightful UX and study for an Apprenticeship.
It was an amazing experience. In a 12-13 month period I went from not knowing anything about marketing to feeling confident about managing campaigns and clients. Having a Chartered Institute of Marketing qualification really made it feel like I was working towards a tangible goal.
It was a privilege to work with my tutors who provided so much support and were always friendly and approachable.
The environment at the College was always friendly, inviting and productive.
This Apprenticeship has given me an amazing grounding into the next phase of my career. It has given me practical skills from being in a working environment, working day-to-day in an office with colleagues. I have learnt to deal with a huge variety of people in a professional manner, and I always felt confident I had the support of the College if any issues were to arise.
If you feel like you’re at a professional crossroads, I would highly recommend looking into choosing an Apprenticeship! Ultimately this Apprenticeship has given me the skills I need to fulfil my potential, and I can’t wait to continue my future career in marketing."
