The main focus of a level 3 course is to develop academic understanding of the specific subject area with a view to assisting candidates to be ready to apply for undergraduate courses or progress to employment.

Bournemouth and Poole College offers a wide range of Level 3 and vocational courses. These courses are very popular with International students who want to be fully integrated with UK and EU/EEA students so that they can develop their language skills while they study their chosen subject.

Course dates: September – July

Venue: Bournemouth or Pooole (depending on the course selected)

Duration: One or two academic years

Study hours: 15 hours per week

Course Level: RQF 3 or above

Qualification: RQF 3

Awarding Body: City & Guilds, BTEC, Pearson, etc. (depending on the course selected)

Entry & visa requirements

  • 17 years plus. 2 or 3 years of high school/senior secondary school with good grades (GSCE equivalent level). UKVI Academic IELTS Score 5.5.
  • Student Route visa (previously known as Tier 4)

Assessment method

Each module is assessed by either assignments, examinations, written coursework, projects, presentations, or by a combination of these.
