Preparation programme for university entry

The main purpose of this programme is to enable you to gain direct progression to the first year of an undergraduate programme at a UK university.

Starts: September – Ends: June

Venue: Bournemouth or Poole (depending on the pathway selected)

Duration: One academic year

Study hours: 15-25 hours per week

Course level: RQF3

Qualification: Access to Higher Education Diploma

Awarding body: CAVA (Cambridge Access Validating Agency)

Entry & visa requirements

  • 17 years plus. 2 or 3 years of high school/senior secondary school with good grades in the relevant subjects (GCSE equivalent level); please ask for the specific entry requirements for your country. UKVI Academic IELTS score 5.0 minimum (with minimum 5.0 in reading and writing).
  • Student Route visa (previously known as Tier 4)

Each module is assessed by assignments, examinations, written coursework, projects, presentations or by a combination of these.

Progression

This diploma is accepted by most UK universities. Typical progression routes include Bath, Birmingham, Bournemouth, Bristol, CASS, Durham, Edinburgh, Exeter, Lancaster, Loughborough, Manchester, Newcastle, Nottingham, Oxford Brookes, Southampton, UCL, Westminster and York.
